ARRESTED TRANSITION

When cotton in its natural state and processed form was coupled with fire, the two elements reacted through a flow of energy which penetrated the layers of cotton in a unique pattern which resulted in warped abstract forms unnatural to the material’s innate characteristics. Looking through the layers of transition in this process and focusing on time being a ‘situation’, the three dimensional form was compressed to a two dimensional image using glass.
